Jean Ann and Amanda talk about what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving day... and what they plan on resenting later on. Topic include: Carmex, annuals that rock, Adam Lambert, plant sales, Sweden and coffee.
Hey Kids...you may remember that Amanda and I have been collaborating with the cool peeps over at OpenSky to build our very own GEG OpenSky store. It is a store that reflects our preferences (some would say weirdness) in garden stuff. We are just starting up, and will be adding new products as we go along.
One of the great things about it is that we will write reviews of our products and tell you the ways in which we use them...ok,most of the ways, some may be inappropriate for public consumption. Anyway, once you get the product home...let us know if you have any questions about it. All you have to do is go to our Facebook Fan Page and leave us a comment. It's sort of like having your own personal garden consultants...if they were sarcastic, rambling, drinking consultants.
So to get us started, I am going to post a couple of links to my all time fave rakes. The Garden Shark and the GroundHog. Now, I wrote a review about these last year on Gardener to Farmer....and I loved them so much that I had to add them to our store. Here's an excerpt from that post:

Radius. The green one is the Garden Shark and the orange is the
The Garden Shark rake is for spreading mulch and de-thatching lawns and the Groundhog rake is for leaves, branches, and other garden debris.
here's the scoop on these two lovelies. Let me start by saying I have
always hated traditional rakes...I have to stoop over and work too hard
to get a minimal amount accomplished. These rakes have an extra long
handle and are ergonomically designed to work for you, not the other
way 'round. Both of us agreed that these two rakes are by far our
I am big on finding tools for the garden that are
more friendly to my body. Conserving energy and effort means I can stay
in the garden longer...which is exactly what we did. We worked
ourselves tired (four hours later) but felt completely satisfied...and
much like expectant mothers, we have gone outside every day since to
check on our babies...no sprouting yet."
We would love it! Maybe we would love your review as much as we love Calina's review where she compares us to Sifl & Olly! WOW! High praise indeed! Well, Calina- now you're my number one lady for gravy!
